I honestly hadn’t planned on doing any posting till after my return from Hawaii. However, sitting here this morning in my hotel room, in the same city where our dear leader is vacationing with his family on the island of Oahu, one day after what could have been the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil since Ft. Hood (yes friends, that was, and still is, a terrorist attack) and 9-11, I am utterly disgusted with this administration, and the idiots running it.
If anyone still believes that we haven’t been taken back in time to the day before 9-11, meaning that our posture, our policy, our intelligence gathering and our political attitude, hasn’t eroded back to that of a pre-9-11 mentality, then this should be your wake up call.
We have again become a target, simply because of the weak, namby-pamby leadership, or lack there-of, we have demonstrated to the world of terrorists out there waiting to kill us. It is no accident that the first three acts of terror committed against us since 9-11, happened within the first year of this President’s administration.
With these people’s insistence that we act as an appeasers, as apologists, as those who are more concerned with political correctness than the safety of its citizens, we demonstrate to these thugs, who are hell bent on killing us, that we are weak, that we have no resolve and that we shouldn’t be feared or respected.
The administration’s response? Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, during an interview on CNN, sought to reassure travelers saying, "The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment," adding that "the system worked" to thwart a potential disaster."The whole process of making sure that we respond properly, correctly and effectively went very smoothly," she said.
Safe??? Smoothly??? I would hate to see what she would consider a rough or unsafe system! It was nothing more than pure dumb luck that we don’t have close to 300 bodies scattered over suburban Detroit right now.
Hey Janet! Wake the hell up! Get your head out of your rather large posterior and take a proactive stance, and start taking seriously the safety and security of the American public, with which you are vested to protect. The U.S. has been the target of terrorist attacks more than a dozen times this year, and in three cases attackers beat security checks -- in an attack on an Army recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark., in the Fort Hood shootings and on the Northwest flight.
If “tightening” security measures, by preventing passengers from leaving their seats during the last hour of international flights to the U.S. is your idea of providing “security,” you need to be fired, along with the people who put you in power. Do you really think making people stay in their seats the last hour of their flight is going to have any appreciable effect, other than inconveniencing passengers with weak bladders? Did you ever stop to consider the would-be terrorist would simply become active a little earlier in the flight?
How about we start doing what should have been done from day one; logical, non-politically correct profiling of the target group who are our sworn enemy. Instead of wasting time scrutinizing Caucasian grandmothers from Minnesota and infants in strollers, we start concentrating on Middle Eastern men between the ages of 18 and 45 who come from countries that pump out terrorists on a daily basis. May sound crazy, but I have a sneaking feeling you may be a tad more successful, and things would run a little more “smoothly”.
